Join the crew

Help the night feel easy.

KUMI nights are small, and they work because a handful of people quietly look after everyone else. If you love hosting, cooking, people or photos, there’s a place for you on the crew.

Leave your name

Five ways to help.

  • 01

    Door Host

The first face of the night. A warm hello, the list, place cards, and a welcome for every walk-in.

You remember names and love a good hello.

  • 02

    Room Host

Looks after the room once everyone is in: spotting anyone on their own, making introductions, running the shuffle.

You’re the friend who introduces everyone.

  • 03

    Kitchen Host

Sets up the kitchen at Second Shift and Dough Diaries, so the host can cook and talk. Prep, allergens, timings.

You’re calm in a kitchen and careful with allergies.

  • 04

    Story Keeper

Captures the night quietly: the room, the hands, the trays coming out of the oven. Always asks first.

You have an eye for the small details.

  • 05

    Set-up Lead

The kit, the venue on the day, set-up and pack-down. Talana’s right hand on logistics.

You love a checklist and a plan coming together.

How it works

Trained, then trusted.

Every guest deserves a crew they can count on, so everyone starts with the same training, made just for KUMI nights.

  1. Leave your nameTell us which roles you’d enjoy. Pick as many as you like.
  2. Talana says helloShe’ll set you up with your own login to the members’ room.
  3. Train at your own paceShort modules on looking after people, safety and your role, with a little practice along the way.
  4. A short exam with TalanaAbout half an hour on a video call, at a time you pick from Talana’s diary.
  5. Your first nightAlongside Talana or someone who’s done it before. Then a place at the table when the work’s done.

Come and help.
